If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that doubles as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and six-month colour pack come together to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy on the eyes with a subtle yet elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, as an example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It's also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps avoid stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents seeking a versatile stroller. 3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store in a trunk of a car. It also has the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our push and turn test, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we tried, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. The sunshades on it were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.
